Holding your service at The Halo Ceremony Hall
The Halo Ceremony Hall is located at Poole Crematorium, Gravel Hill and can accommodate up to 120 seated guests.
Whilst its main use is to hold memorial and funeral services, it is also used to host a number of events for the community. If you are interested in using the venue for a community event, please contact us.
If you choose to hold a funeral service at the Halo Ceremony Hall, your loved one will be respectfully conveyed to Bournemouth Crematorium, or to another cemetery location for burial.
A stunning setting
The modern, tranquil interior of the Halo Ceremony Hall is an ideal place to hold the funeral service, or a memorial service, for your loved one.
Look up to the wooden ceiling to discover the awesome 'halo lights', whilst, to each side, there are stunning hand-painted scenes of local landscapes and nature. With the gentle lighting and resplendent murals, our visitors can be totally transformed to a place of peace and reflection.
The history of the site
The Halo Ceremony Hall was part of an extensive refurbishment of the chapel at Poole Crematorium:
- the ceremony hall increased its seating capacity to 120
- Waiting room and visitor toilets were extensively refurbished
- A new Book of Remembrance private viewing room was created
- A new covered floral wreath court was installed
- A new outside shelter was erected, to create a space just a step or two away from the main building
- Landscaping of the grounds on approach and surrounding the main building
- The customer reception and office areas were refurbished
- The Cloisters were updated, including the stunning wildlife-inspired mural by a local artist

Memorials
Not only does the Halo Ceremony Hall have a stunning interior, you exit past the hand-painted Stag Mural into the pretty floral court, where floral tributes to the deceased are displayed.
